RenGe

FEATURED AT AIGA SLC 100 SHOW

Small BeginningS

Bold Journeys
RenGe was born on a thrift store shelf and shaped by myth.

Inspired by the legend of the koi who became a dragon, each spoon embodies the beauty of resilience —an everyday object elevated to art.

RenGe specializes in premium ramen spoons. The featured set is "Koi no Taki" (English pronunciation for "koi waterfall" in Japanese.) The design is inspired by the  ancient tale of countless koi swimming  upstream along the Yellow River, battling its current. After generations of effort, one koi finally leaps the crest of a great waterfall. In recognition of its perseverance, the gods transformed the koi into a golden dragon.

The packaging and accompanying booklet are inspired by the fluidity of waterfalls and the elegance of origami.

The booklet, designed in the style of a waterfall card, allows pages to flip vertically—mimicking the motion of falling water. When closed, the stacked pages resemble stylized koi scales
